I went to watch narnia with my boyfriend yesterday and left the cinema feeling that narnia rocks so much harder than harry potter. To all harry potter fans who may disagree, i' m sorry but i had expected goblet of fire to be more action-packed instead of focusing on the lovey dovey relationships.. Sigh. Oh well...
What really touched me in narnia was the faith that Aslan, the mighty lion had in him to lay down his life for a traitor he had barely known for long. I suppose the story has some Christian element to it. C S Lewis is a Christian, and it shows through his story. The evil witch is really quite pretty after all! Hah a, The villian is not always as ugly as we imagine. In a nutshell, narnia rocks!!!!

Yes Christmas is just round the corner and I am reminded of the Christmas of 2002. My best Christmas ever. I miss my ex cell group, the fun, the laughter and the memories. Every face, every personality, every joy, every sorrow since then have not been forgotten. E139 is gone but not the memories. Evelyn's words of encouragement still ring very clearly in my mind. So to all my readers and believers of the faith, remember the hope that comes with Christmas. May Jesus' birth remind you and I that we have hope always.
I love you all. I love the season. It is not everyday that I get to write a blog entry on why I like Christmas. To me Christmas is a time of reminder that I can find joy and hope despite a very dreary world out there. It reminds me of who loves me, the One who made me and still holds my hands and days. I wish all a very merry Christmas!

Having been to Ho Chi Minh and back, I am so thankful that I am back! The trip was speckled...with highlights at various points but overall, I still feel that I should not have gone on the trip at all. For various reasons...I think for myself personally, I had been worried that I would not be able to adapt to the environment in Saigon...Amazing that I pulled through and even took time out to take in the sights when I was not sleeping on the bus. Ha ha..
Honestly, I am the slacker type..My ideal holiday is not putting myself into an adventurous mood and go hopping around the city. Yeah yeah, the mass tourist mentality. Yet there were many sights that I don't think I will ever forget so quickly. Most haunting of all were the images from the Vietnam War. These are things that I just cannot erase from my memory. The Mekong Delta was wonderful. The boat trip on the delta was so peaceful and calming. I totally enjoyed every moment of it..by singing along the way. Ha ha. The ktv spirit never dies.
I guess I felt so extra on the trip when sparks of romance take over. Ha ha..I don't think it is a holiday I want to go on again. This time next year I am going to make it my aim to travel to New Zealand-lotr, here I come! The pics will be uploaded asap..I am shag...too shag to do anything. Tiring.

Sigh…another couple in my cg has announced wedding plans..in 2006. Suddenly it seems as if getting married is the hip thing to do! Ha ha. Back in Wenling’s zone…the issue was not so much about marriages..as most of us were students in our teens. Anyway, congrats to Ivan and Melissa on their upcoming wedding next year. Shadrach and Pauline too!
For all out there who are still wondering when it will be my turn, I advise you to be patient..I am not in a hurry to get married. Not bothered about being a hot young mama and certainly not going to follow the trend! Ha ha. I also understand that Edwin has so many other things on his agenda in life to accomplish. Marriage, if anything, hinders the fulfilment of these other goals and aspirations. So sorry if I have disappointed many who continue to wait for news of my “wedding”.
Actually this post is meant to talk about my 24 hour miracle. I had applied for a supp card under my dad’s name in order that I can carry less cash around with me while overseas. Praise the Lord, the application had been approved in less than 4 days! Talk about 24 hour miracles, Edwin got his pay earlier than what civil servants usually get, plus a harvest of bonus too! Wow, God truly provides for our needs even when we don’t ask of Him. I’m so glad to be going off tomorrow. Hopefully this is going to be a good break for me!

This post is an angry one..Sorry..I need a space to vent my woes..My mum has a temper problem and she is biased. Honestly, just because she expects me to behave and conform to her definition of maturity does not mean that I have to do as she says! I hate it when she tells her san gu liu po about how immature I am. Can you believe it? Do you know what she said to one neighbour? She said I am immature and don’t speak as I ought to be.
For goodness sake, and you know what that neighbour told me? She told me she wants to introduce me to a friend of hers, a young teacher who is very mature! What crap! I hate my mum’s behaviour! Why, O God did you put me here! WHY???????? I am so pissed off… The last thing I need to know is learning how to be a frigging submissive doll my mum wants me to be. But I am not a doll…
I am, I feel
I sometimes think that you forget
That I am, I feel
This girl’s a person you know!

Here are more baby-licious photos in my collection. One of the cutest babies in my records is Yanfeng. Here he is at 7 months old, tugging away at my hair..I look like some kind of worn out ah soh here. This is his first visit to my house and soon after my mummy took over as his nanny. Yippee!
Dear is holding Yanfeng. The little one is so adorable! He is not afraid of strangers at all!
Memories@SAF Here are two of my students, both of which I found hard to love and handle initially. A year later, as I returned, they have blossomed into two of the most intelligent and adorable kids in the centre. PTL!Calvin and Brian look like long lost brothers! Ha ha.
This is yet another ah soh looking shot..very unflattering I know. Focus on the little ones instead! Ha ha. This is the baby class at SAF CDC. Most of them are barely two or 18th months old. Nevertheless, very cute but very tiring to handle all of them too! :P We brought the kids out on an outing to the birdpark. They were really excited and started pointing and babbling away, smiling and walking. For me the most rewarding thing is receiving a card of thanks from a parent who actually followed us to the birdpark to watch how we took care of her kids. It is certainly heartening to know how much parents do appreciate what teachers do!
