Planning for THE wedding can be a hassle. There are so many minute details to look into that if one is not careful, one can be negligent. For the past two weeks, we'd been scouting around for places to hold our wedding. On Sunday, we were hanging out at City Hall where we decided to check out the Swissotel The Stamford (STS).
Never thought much about the place at first as it didn't really appeal to me like the other hotels in the area (PanPac, Marina Mandarin, The Fullerton, etc). Nevertheless, we peeked into the ballrooms and no one stopped us either. :) Then Edwin told me that the very ballrooms we were looking at were the ones used by our church from day 1, before we even had the old Hollywood theatre. He accepted Christ in the former Westin Stamford, of all places. I thought that was so cool, to hold a wedding in a place that had significant value to us, and to our long-time standing friends.
It's like taking a super slow walk along memory lane to have our wedding there! I am really excited about this. We met up with Shalica, the wedding sales manager from STS on Tuesday to discuss about the contract and will be signing it next week.
I am so thankful and blessed to have settled for nothing less than the best. Four months ago, we signed up with Golden Horse Awards bridal studio for our photoshots, and it is definitely going to be a great album! Ha ha. Just 2 days ago, I went to check the progress of our BTO project, and to our surprise, 15 storeys are up already. Won't be too long before we collect keys to our flat as well. I really cannot wait for it.
In the meantime, I thank God for giving us a great date to look forward to. Truly He makes all things beautiful in His time. Thanks also to the wonderful girls who gallantly agreed to be my bridesmaids! :)
Note to ponder: Ps 16:11 "You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence, and the pleasures of living with you forever".
